Dustin Strand parked the No. 71 Walhalla Builders Millenium SRT in victory lane last Saturday night at the Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, ND. Strand's win is his second of the season with the club, his fourth at Devils Lake, and twentieth series win, as he becomes just the fifth racer all-time to win twenty features in series history.
Brad Seng and Jesse Teunis led the field to the green at the start, with Seng taking the lead early in the No. 12S S&S Transport MB Custom.

Edginton moved the No. 4 Performance Auto victory past Teunis' No. 70 Grand Prix Amusements MasterSbilt, while Strand and Teunis resumed their battle from their heat race.

Five laps in, Cole Schill had moved the No. 44 Mid Ag Dispatch MB Custom past Teunis for fourth, as Edginton stalked Seng for the lead.

Seven laps in, Teunis slowed on the inside of turn two and Bill Mooney, driver of the No. 2 Lithia Toyota of Grand Forks MasterSbilt by JMR, made significant contact with Teunis' car.

Teunis' night was over, while Mooney completed a tire change, and returned to the race.

On the ensuing restart, Strand got the best start, as he moved from third to first, using the cushion to advance past Edginton and Seng to take the lead.

At the halfway point, Strand had built a healthy advantage, while Seng and Edginton battled for second, and Schill and Ryan Kereluk, and his No. 29K Avonlea Group Victory, went door-to-door for fourth. Edginton took second, while Schill moved in on Seng for third.

One final caution with eight laps remaining bunched up the field one final time, but Strand resumed the race with the lead.

Schill and Travis Robertson, driver of the No. 1R Tires Plus MasterSbilt, used the bottom of the track on the restart to move up to third and fifth respectively.

In the waning laps, Edginton reeled in Strand, and closed to Strand's spoiler, but it was Strand who was able to hold on for the victory.

Cole Schill was third, with Travis Robertson making one last pass on Brad Seng to score the fourth spot, while Seng rounded out the top five.

Ryan Kereluk was sixth, with Brody Troftgruben seventh in the No. 14 Gateway Auto Tech Rocket, and Steffen Snare eighth in the No. 71S Sportsman's Lodge Bloomquist.

Kevin Robertson was ninth in the MLGC No. 10R, with Bill Mooney rebounding from the incident with Teunis to round out the top ten.

Strand on the restart that got him the lead, "At the beginning of the race, Shane and Brad were both kinda getting away from me, I was kinda struggling a little bit, I thought maybe I made the wrong decisions before the feature. But we had a bunch of caution laps, and I was packing in the top, cause it was pretty marble-y up there, and I figured that was my only prayer, and I was gonna be a hero or zero on that restart. We had an awesome start, it stuck on the top, and it worked."

Jesse Teunis and Brad Seng were the heat winners. 16 cars were in attendance on Saturday at Devils Lake. NLRA action continues on Thursday night, August the 15th, when the series returns to the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN, for the first time in two years.
