Strand set to debut Mullens by Millenium Modified at River Cities

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (May 18, 2023) - Coming off a runner-up appearance with the Modified a week prior, Dustin Strand, driver of the No. 71 Carr's Grain Service / Keewatin Truck Service Millenium SRT, continued his strong start to the 2023 season with a runner-up finish with the Northern Late Model Racing Association at Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND. Tonight, he will pilot his Mullens by Millenium WISSOTA Modified at his home track, River Cities Speedway, for the first time. 

Breaking out the Late Model for the first time this season last Saturday, Strand started the night winning the first heat race. Heading into the main event starting third, Strand had a good chance at scoring his fifth series win at the track.

Strand made his way to second on the seventh lap, and held the spot until five laps were remaining. At that point, Strand caught leader Brody Troftgruben in heavy lapped traffic and took the lead on lap 21.

The second and final caution with three laps left gave Strand one last chance at the victory. While holding off two-time and defending series champion Mike Greseth, Strand was unable to regain the top spot, finishing second. 

This Friday, Strand will move back over to the Mullens by Millenium Modified during the season opener at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND. With last week's rainout, Strand is still two wins away from his 100th win at the track in his career, seven of which are Modified victories.
