Dirt Track racing has been, and probably always will be the true roots of motor sports, and it takes place at the local track where local race fans flock to watch their home town hero's compete and race.

My name is Dustin Strand and I am 25 years old.  I am employed at Red River Welders Supply in Grand Forks, ND and at Fastlane Racing Eq. in Bemidji, MN.  Fastlane is a family owned business run by my father Brian Strand where we fabricate and repair dirt track race cars.  I have been racing since 2002 and have raced pure stocks, street stocks, super stocks and am currently running a Midwest Modified.

Strand Racing is asking for your support in helping a winning team move forward, by putting your name on a "moving billboard", my Wissota Midwest Modified racecar.  As we all know, it takes good financing to keep a team running strong.
The following is a list of some of my accomplishments:

2008 Accomplishments:

Wissota Midwest Modified National Championship runner-up (750 cars competing)

       31 feature wins

       4 Track Championships

       Midwest Modified Racing Series Champion

Previous Accomplishments:

       NOPA Super Stock National Champion

       100+ feature wins

       Multiple Track Champion

2007 Midwest Modified Racing Series Champion

2004 Super Stock Rookie of the Year

  • Proposed tracks we will race at in 2009 include:
    Norman County Raceway  Ada, MN
River Cities Speedway  Grand Forks, ND

We are exposed to over 250,000 spectators a year, and a lot more through newsprint of winning events.

Racing has always boasted the highest fan loyalty of any sport.  Dirt track fans, at the local level, are the loyalist of all.  Not only is sponsorship effective at this level, but many fans consider it to be an opportunity to support local racers.

Like many forms of racing, the fan is typically male, but the female population continues to grow.  While more and more men are getting their wives and kids involved.  Dirt track fans look for, and expect to see, local business involvement to support their sport.  In return, the fans support the sponsors!
